In a few years, the Internet  Bolivia WhatsApp Number List   has changed our uses, but the appearance of the smartphone has considerably accelerated and disrupted all of our operations as well as our relationship to others, without necessarily realizing it. The mobile has become, the remote control of our life, the extension of our arm, the sensor of our attention. We take it almost 200 times a day to consult it for anything and everything. Watching our emails, the news, playing games, checking our social networks

And when we are not on it, we are reminded by the notifications that there is something new for us. The attention hunt is triggered to capture as much time as possible. This is exactly the fundamentals of Facebook: how to keep us as long as possible, how to keep us coming back, remind us of what happened in the month, in the year, or a few years ago. This is also valid for other social networks. Coming, staying and coming back: these are their challenges and their business. These moments of attention captured for a few seconds are new, they are called micro-moments. Mobile: we’re all addicted Everyone becomes “addicted”, and even those who say they know how to distance themselves are.

Training Must Also Change

Some certainly manage better than others, that’s true, because many don’t care. We constantly consume our mobile : in transport, in waiting rooms, in the toilets, at the office, at the table, in bed, with another consequence: the quality and quantity of sleep . All this time spent on our mobile bites on previously free moments, but since we want to do a lot of things, we fall asleep later, we wake up earlier to return to our favorite object. We have become so addicted that we no longer even let go of our mobile in front of the television: we become multi-device and distribute our attention between two different screens, with half the attention for each. What is incredible is that we have more and more objects to tell us the time, and yet we have less and less time.

We are more and more in a hurry, and often less and less available to others. I see two main effects on us: The decline in creativity The attention shortage Three MV Group employees in the cafeteria, two of them with their phones in their hands The decline in creativity The creativity is possible when there is time, or rather when it is agreed time to promote it. Today, everyone is afraid of giving themselves a time, of letting themselves be bored a little, of doing nothing for a while. For my part, I greatly privilege these moments during the holidays . And I can measure that as soon as I have a little time to do nothing, I systematically have new ideas that appear suddenly, almost as if by magic.

Capture Customers’ Attention

The millenials , the new generation, are afraid of these moments because they have not known them. They were born with the mobile hanging in their hand and cannot imagine staying without doing anything for an hour or two. Yet a study conducted by the Academy of Management has proven that boredom is the source of creativity . We would have better ideas after a period of boredom, and some people would even experience a spike in creativity when they are bored. Being constantly connected therefore maybe has a negative impact on creativity, and in my opinion it will only get worse. The attention shortage This hyper-solicitation of our attention has an impact on our functioning.

I will only detail in this post the impact I see in the professional world, but we could do the same in our private lives. Do you remember, in 2004, the scandal caused by Patrick Lelay, then boss of TF1, when he explained that he “sold available human brain time ”? With 15 years of hindsight, we can measure his cynicism, but also the reality of things. If the world of communication has often tried to capture the attention of buyers and consumers, it is Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, who is the best seller in the world! Its social network is completely free, but it has been entirely designed to grab us as much as possible and for as long as possible. Everything is centered on dopamine! What is that ?
